The 1950 season of  Formula 1  was the first of  Drivers World Championship  of the  FIA . It was played between May 13 and September 3. The championship consisted of 7 races, 6 of them in Europe with the  Formula 1 regulations , plus the  Indianapolis 500 , raced in the US under the regulations of the  AAA National Championship .  Giuseppe Farina  got the title.

In addition, 17 non-scoring Formula 1 races were held.
